DO I NEED A REFERRAL?

You do not need a referral to see a physical therapist in the District of Columbia. If you plan to submit your superbills to your insurance company, we highly recommend calling your insurance company to inquire if you need a referral for services to be reimbursed. Some insurance companies will require a referral or a prescription from a physician to prove the medical necessity of your care & justify reimbursement.
